Rose Marie Brodhacker, 61, Peculiar, MO, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City in Kansas City, MO.  Funeral services were held  Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO with burial in Peculiar Cemetery.

Rose was born September 22, 1957 in McAlester, OK, the daughter of Andrew and Juanita (Owens) Smith.  She married Gerald "Gerry" Brodhacker on May 30, 1985 in Kansas City, MO.   Rose had worked as an in-home nurse aide and as the activities director at Foxwood Springs in Raymore, MO.  She had lived in Kansas City, Belton, Grandview, and Harrisonville before moving to Peculiar in 2005.  Rose had attended the 15 ^th Street Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO, Grace Baptist Church in Harrisonville, LifeQuest in Belton, and was a member of the Save One Life group.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tommy Smith.  She is survived by her husband, Gerry, of the home; two sons, Olan Charles Gregg and Andrew Travis Gregg, both of Belton, MO; two daughters, Shayla Marie Lawson, Grandview, MO and Tessa Michelle Wadman, Kansas City, MO; one brother, Andrew Smith, Savannah, OK; four sisters, Betty Roller, McAlester, OK, Juanita Mae Lizik, Krebs, OK, Janice Calvert, Plano, TX, and Linda Brown, McAlester, OK; 14 grandchildren, Kyle Shane Gregg, Austin Edward Gregg, Breanna Rose Gregg, Colton James Riley, James Wesley Riley, Shanna Morgan, Lane Nathaniel Funburg, Mistin Mae Gregg, Justin Olan Gregg, Katelyn Rose Joseph, Alyssa Michelle Wadman, Hailey Rose Gregg, Andrea Lynn Gregg, and Kal-El Andrew David Gregg, and one great-granddaughter, Kylee Diana Gregg.
