Rosann Marie Benson Richter, 85 of Harrisonville, MO died Monday, March 15, 2010 at her daughter's home in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church Memorial Fund, 400 South Independence Street, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

Rosann was born January 18, 1925 in Taunton, MN, the daughter of Charlie A. and Elsie (Rettmer) Gustafson. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Ashby, Minnesota High School. She lived in Salina, KS for several years, moving back to Minnesota and then to Harrisonville in 1965. Rosann was united in marriage to Wallace Warren Benson on August 25, 1945. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1982. On April 14, 1988, Rosann married Ralph H. Richter and he preceded her in death on September 20, 1997. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Harrisonville.

Rosann was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother and her two husbands. She is survived by one son, Stan Benson and his wife, Teresa of Warsaw, MO; two daughters, Barbara Fenton and her husband, Don of Harrisonville, MO and Paula Kohler and her husband, Daryl of Pleasant Hill, MO; one sister, Merlain Burlingame of Canby, MN; 13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
