Obituary
Roger Neil Bishop, 52, Garden City, MO died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. A memorial gathering will be held from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Inurnment will be in Glenwild Cemetery. (Cremation).
Roger was born July 12, 1958 in Paola, Kansas, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Hopper) Bishop. He was a life-long Cass County resident. He was a 1977 graduate of Cass Midway High School. He was employed at La Cygne Power Plant in Kansas in his younger years, before going back into farming.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a daughter, Brooke Nicole Bishop, Chillicothe, MO; three brothers, Phillip Bishop, Sedalia, MO, Steven Bishop, Harrisonville, MO and Terry Bishop, Peculiar, MO; two sisters, Debbie Hargis, Cleveland, MO and Kim Steele, Belton, MO and three grandchildren.
