Roberta Ann Prettyman, 68, Freeman, MO died on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at her home near Freeman, MO. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 26, 2007 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the chapel. Burial in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Contributions may be made to the Atkinson Funeral Home to assist in funeral expenses.

Roberta was born July 18, 1939 in Des Plaines, IL, the daughter of Lawrence G. and Bridget Ann "Sally" (Amraen) Getty. She married Donald Wayne "Sonny" Prettyman on January 8, 1960 at the home of Brother Joe Brewster near Freeman.

Roberta worked in the house keeping department at Cass Medical Center until 1997. She enjoyed playing Bingo, planting flowers and garage sales. Her favorite television program was the Antique Road Show. Most of all Roberta loved her family and treasured being a grandparent.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sonny; Brothers, Robert and Larry; Sisters, Marilyn Hanes and Evelyn Briggs and grandson, Chris Richardson. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Richardson and her husband Brad, West Line, MO and Lisa Calhoun and her husband Pat, Freeman, MO; twin brother, Richard Getty and his wife Marilyn, Hermitage, MO; sister, Rita Wells and her husband Darren, Independence, MO; sisters-in-law, Jerri Getty, Harrisonville, MO and Dixie Getty, North Kansas City, MO; brother in-law, Wilbur Briggs, Freeman, MO; four grandchildren, Craig Richardson and wife Tara, Clint Calhoun and his wife Melissa, Jesse Richardson and his wife Jennifer and Kyle Calhoun and his companion, Amanda Dryer and seven great-grandchildren, Peyton, Hope, Christopher, Taylor, Parker, Carson and Isabella; many nieces and nephews.
