Roberta Jean Knox, 91, of Belton, MO, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home in Belton, MO. Graveside services were held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Oakland Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO.

Roberta was born on July 23, 1933, in El Dorado Springs, MO, the daughter of Eugene and Beatrice (Hendrick) Mossman. Roberta's journey brought her to Raymore, MO, where she attended school, graduating from Raymore High School. She married Cecil Glenn Knox on July 5, 1952 and together they had a son, Steve.

Roberta pursued a career in the textile production industry, working diligently at a sewing pattern making plant in Kansas City. Her independence and positive spirit shone brightly throughout her life, even as health challenges began to arise. Roberta's vibrant personality and infectious smile earned her the endearing title of "Queen" at Beautiful Savior, where she brightened the lives of all those around her. Known for her fondness for colorful clothes and Southwest-inspired jewelry, Roberta had a keen eye for antiques, which she hunted for diligently at garage sales. It was through her passion for collecting that many friendships were forged, including one that spanned over three decades.

Over the last 12 years of her life, Roberta faced challenges with her eyesight, yet her unwavering positivity never faltered. She graciously accepted the care provided by the compassionate staff at St. Croix Hospice during her final days, as well as the comfort and support from the Beautiful Savior Assisted and Nursing Care facility. In the absence of immediate family, a devoted friend stepped in to assist Roberta with her declining health needs, ensuring she was well-cared for. As we reminisce about the laughter, kindness, and joy Roberta brought into our lives, we honor her memory with gratitude and affection.

Roberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil Knox; her son, Steve Knox; and her parents. She leaves behind her friends and caregivers, Mary and Jay Gates; as well as, friends and caregivers at Beautiful Savior.
