Robert Leo Zimmerman, 87, Adrian, Missouri, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at his home. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to Archie United Methodist Church, Crescent Hill Masonic Lodge #368, or Heartland Hospice.

Robert was born February 14, 1928 in Garden City, Missouri, the son of John Adam and Agnes (Reeder) Zimmerman. He was a graduate of Garden City, Missouri High School. Robert married Elsie Faye King on October 14, 1950 in Garden City. They had lived in Garden City for 25 years before moving to Archie, where they lived for 22 years. They moved to Adrian in 1987.

Robert worked as a millwright for the Ford-Claycomo plant until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Crescent Hill Masonic Lodge #368, Adrian, Missouri, UAW Local 249, and the Archie United Methodist Church.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, George, Earnest and Vernon, four sisters, Anna Hostetler, Ada Sweet, Charlotte Durtchi, and Ruby Krantz. He is survived by his wife, Faye, of the home; two daughters, Linda Wallace (Bill), Lake Winnebago, Missouri and Donna Bailey (Scott), Lamar, Missouri; 2 grandchildren, Brett McCoy (Elizabeth), Kansas City, Kansas and Scott McCoy (Amy), San Antonio, Texas; and 2 great-grandchildren, Adrienne McCoy and Natalie McCoy, Kansas City, Kansas.
