Robert Louis Wood, 83, Archie, MO, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home, Adrian, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Harrisonville, MO with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at the church. Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Harrisonville. Robert was born January 17, 1925 in Cass County, MO, the son of Robert Lee and Mary Milan (Stephens) Wood. He was a graduate of Archie High School. He was a life-long Cass County resident.

Robert was a WWII Navy veteran. He married Jean Frances Hayes on June 8, 1946 at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Harrisonville, by the Rev. Joe Brewster. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Robert worked for Bendix for over 38 years before retiring in December, 1990.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jean on January 15, 2003, one brother, Willy Wood and two sisters, Anna Lee Collup and Eulah Reed. He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Taylor and her husband, Ron, Grandview, MO and Roberta Rasor and her husband, Tom, Bolivar, MO; four granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
