Robert "Bobby" Gene Thomas, 48 of Harrisonville, MO died Monday, May 17, 2010 in Kansas City, KS. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. No visitation. Cremation. Bobby was born February 16, 1962 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Billy Lee and Betty (Moore) Thomas. He was a graduate of Lee's Summit High School. He married Lorie Taber in 1980 and they had two children, Robert "Robby" Loren and Ariel Breanne Thomas.
Bobby worked as a machinist for a tool and die company in Kansas City. He was a very giving, unselfish, likeable person with a big heart. Bobby had a brilliant mind and could take anything apart and put it back together. He loved animals and the outdoors, fishing and gardening. Bobby was friendly and loved to make others smile. He led a simple life and loved life and his family.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Georgia of Kansas City, KS; one son, Robby Thomas and one daughter, Ariel Thomas, both of Harrisonville, MO; his father, Billy Thomas of Goodman, MO; his mother, Betty Spangler of Harrisonville, MO; his ex-wife, Lorie Thomas of Harrisonville, MO; three sisters, Deborah Anderson and her husband, Bryan of Independence, MO, Julie Thomas of Grove, OK and Brandy Farr and her husband, Trent of Harrisonville, MO; many aunts, uncles, a niece and nephews. He was loved and will be missed.
