Robert D. "Bob" Stice 76, Harrisonville, Missouri died peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 11, 2011, after a long battle with Alzheimers. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville. Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Contributions to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Association.

Bob was born September 19, 1934 in rural Harrisonville, MO, the son of David Monroe "Jim" and Natalie Marie (Gustine) Stice. On September 2, 1955 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Prough.

Bob lived in and around Harrisonville all of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He ran a small garage on his farm for about 30 years. He retired in 1995 after having a heart attack.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Norris Stice and Jimmie Gerold Stice, three brothers-in-law, Harvey Carmichael, Billy Ring and Roy Prough, two sisters-in-law, Velda Rahn and Doris Dean Prough. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; two sons, Garry Stice, of the home and Larry Stice and his wife, Cheryl, Harrisonville, MO; two sisters, Patty Ring, Holden, MO and Glennie Carmichael, Harrisonville, MO; nieces and nephews.
