Robert K. Morris, 88, Garden City, Mo died at home Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Masonic Service 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 with funeral to immediately follow at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, MO. Visitation from 1-2. Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Trinity Home Health, Harrisonville, Mo.

Robert was born January 16, 1927 in Peculiar, MO to Roy W. and Mary Caroline (Herron) Morris. He graduated from Peculiar High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. On June 1, 1947 Robert was united in marriage to Audrey Lee Moreland. He was a carpenter, dairy farmer and a mill wright. He was a member of the Index Masonic Lodge #54, Garden City and a member of Ararat Shrine, Kansas City, Mo. He liked to fish, hunt, woodwork, truck pulling, attending bluegrass music festivals and Saturday night dances at the Garden City Community Center.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Willet Morris, John Morris and William Morris; three sisters, Ella Jo Streby, Ann Emerson and infant, Viola; and one son, Robert "Bobby Joe" Morris, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Audrey of the home; one daughter, Vikki Troyer (David Sulser) of Garden City, Mo; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Moreland; six grandchildren, Shannon (Sonia) Leslie, Casey (Elizabeth) Leslie, Rebecca (James) Jackson, Robert Morris, Jr., Kristy DeMaranville and Kenneth Morris; 10 great-grandchildren, Codie Leslie, SSgt Robert (Abigail) Powell, Ashley Ginning, Ella Leslie, Madison Danner, Dakota DeMaranville, Jacob Morris, Shyla DeMaranville, Mackenzie Leslie and Abigail Leslie; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
