Robert L. "Bobby" Burger, 83, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Golden Years Rehab and Healthcare Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.  Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Bobby was born September 7, 1938 in Harrisonville, a son of David William and Ollie (Dykes) Burger. He was a lifelong Harrisonville resident. He worked for GAF Roofing Shingle Company in Kansas City, MO, as a machine operator for over 20 years. Bobby was an avid Trap Shooter, a life member of the (ATA) Amateur Trapshooting Association. He enjoyed playing golf and was a big NASCAR and racing fan.  In his younger years, Bobby enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles with his life-long dear friend Dale Atkinson.

Bobby will be remembered for his direct personality, absolute honesty and dedicated loyalty to friends and family.  He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Kirk Burger on April 14, 1995; his parents; three brothers: David Burger, Edwin Burger, and infant, Larry Burger; four sisters: Sadie Marie Hunter, Georgia Mattingly, Pauline Stackhouse, and Betty Lou Burger.  Bobby is survived by one brother, Jerry Burger, Harrisonville; a host of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
