Obituary
Robert N. Ellis, 80 of Hermitage, Mo., died November 8, 2006 in Dallas County.
He was born April 14, 1926 in Kansas City, Mo., to Jack and Daisy (Hulen) Ellis. He attended Central High School in Kansas City, Mo., and married Betty Gail Ely on December 19, 1960. They lived in Kansas City, Archie, Mo., and later moved to Hermitage. He retired from Bendix after 36 years as a model maker. Robert was also an Eagle Scout and belonged to a machinist's union, and was a motorcycle enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Hermitage, son David Ellis of Bonner Springs, Kan., step-daughter Joyce Allen of San Diego, and three grandchildren: Jason Ellis of Bonner Springs, Josh Ellis of Harrisonville, Mo., and Serena Howeth of San Francisco. He is also survived by one great-grandson.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, father, a sister, and one daughter.
A visitation will be 1-3 PM Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. No memorial service is planned, cremation will follow.
