Robert E. Blessman, 89, Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 27, 1928 in Kansas City, KS, a son of William F. and Christie A. (Fisher) Blessman. He was a 1946 graduate of La Cygne High School, La Cygne, KS.

Robert was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a life member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. He was an office manager for International Harvester for 30 years before his retirement, and then worked as a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City.

Robert was united in marriage to Edith L. Hoffmann on January 12, 1974 in Kansas City, MO. They enjoyed the last 44 years together residing in Harrisonville.

Robert is survived by his wife, Edith, of the home; a son, S. Douglas Blessman, Overland Park, KS; a daughter, T. Denise Blessman, Overland Park, KS; a brother, Norman Blessman, San Mateo, CA; and a sister, Lois Jones, Peculiar, MO.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
