Richard Richart Utterback, III, 66, Adrian, Missouri, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at his home. Graveside services will be held at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri, at a later date. The family wishes to thank Crossroads Hospice for their care.

Rick was born July 22, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Richard and Leota "Billie" (Hooper) Utterback, Jr. He was a long-time resident of the Kansas City area and worked for restaurants, such as Andre's on the Plaza, where he had many friends.

Rick was a proud Air Force veteran from the Vietnam War era. During his life he enjoyed riding horses, playing golf, special vacations to Estes Park Colorado, and spending time with his family. His warm, friendly personality made an immediate and lasting impact on everyone he met.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister and her husband, Sandra and Charles Wray; two loving nieces, cousins and his beloved dog, Rusty. Rick will be missed. His faith in the Lord supported him in his life and during his long battle with cancer.
