Obituary

Jaye Richard Griffith, 71, Adrian, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to Crescent Hill Cemetery.

Richard was born December 15, 1943 in Butler, Missouri, the son of Chester Max and Hilda Pearl (Addleman) Griffith. Richard was owner of Griffith Bookkeeping for many years. He proudly served in the U. S. Army.

Richard was very involved with the Antique Tractor Association, Conductor of South Prairie Railroad at Adrian Antique Village, Crescent Hill Cemetery, Optimist Club, Saddle Club and many other organizations. Richard was known and appreciated by one and all. Known by all of his friends, as "Bookie".

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one brother, Ed Griffith. He is survived by two brothers, Fred Griffith and wife, Martha, Atlanta, Georgia and Harvey Griffith and wife, Rita, Butler, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
