Richard Edgar Greer, 76, of Archie, MO, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his son Jim's home surrounded by family. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO.

Richard was born on February 22, 1948, in Orrick, MO, to Finley Edgar Greer and Ruby Frances (Lee) Greer. On December 15, 1972, he was united in marriage to Susan Borgman. To this union, Susan brought a daughter, Lori, and a son, Jim, and then together they had a son, Jessie. After working at General Motors for 22 years, he then worked with heavy equipment in Kansas until he retired from there in 2010. He took great pleasure working on his farm with his goats and became the best goat herder in Bates County. He also loved spending time with family and friends. Richard, being tough as nails, fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept his faith.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Delbert Greer; and sister, Anna Jean Bruce. He is survived by his sons: Jim (Misty) Greer of Adrian, MO; and Jessie (Penny) Greer of Winona, MO; daughter, Lori (Elaine Knedgen) Williams of Sedalia, MO; grandchildren: Ali Williams, Coleton Greer, and Madalyn Greer; and three great-grandchildren.
