Richard O. Ely, 64, Harrisonville, MO, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at his home. No services are scheduled. (Cremation).

Richard was born March 20, 1947 in Nevada, MO, the son of Kenneth Leroy and Mary Eleanor (Roe) Ely. He was in the U. S. Navy Reserves.

Richard had lived in Wichita, KS and Oklahoma for 30 years before moving to Harrisonville. He worked as an electrical line worker for Tiedes Line Construction in Haysville, KS and was a member of the IBEW Union.

Richard is survived by two daughters, Danielle Ely, Wichita, KS and Stacy Giceante, Grandview, MO; three sisters, Judith Bearce, Harrisonville, MO, Betty Ellis, Adrian, MO and Barbara Leija, Black Canyon City, AZ; one grandchild; nephew, Kenny Woods and wife, Lori and their two children and other nieces and nephews.
