Richard B. Stotts, 77, of Harrisonville, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. A memorial service was held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Journey International Church, 1601 SW State Route 150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082 or a charity of your choice.

Richard was born on October 23, 1942 in Valentine, Nebraska. He was a Vietnam veteran and after his military service he went on to complete his education in Washington, DC at American University. While in school, he met and married his future wife, Carolyn Scott, and continued to work in government service for 28 years, retiring as a Special Agent in the FBI in 1992. He loved to share the gospel with people, camping, riding the rapids in Colorado with his two sons, and training his dogs for pheasant hunting in South Dakota.

Rick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; two sons: R. Jerry Stotts of Belton, MO, and Robert C. Stotts and his wife, Roberta of Spring Hill, KS; blessed with three grandchildren: Jaiden, Addison, and Mila; one brother, Larry R. Stotts and his wife, Brenna of Redlands, CA; a brother-in-law, Jerry Scott and his wife, Rose of Midwest City, OK.
