Rex Lee Miller, 57, Warrensburg, Missouri, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, March 11 at the funeral home. Rex was born May 17, 1955 in Windsor, Missouri, the son of Keith A. and Geneva M. (Mullins) Miller. He grew up in Shawnee Mission, Kansas and had lived in Windsor, Missouri before moving to Warrensburg. He worked for the Lee's Summit School District as a mechanic for 17 years before retiring.

Rex was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, Larry and Mike Miller, and a son, Joshua Miller. He is survived by one daughter, Lyndsey Miller, Creighton, Missouri; one son, Travis Miller, Creighton, Missouri; his mother and stepfather, Geneva and Ben Friend, Harrisonville, Missouri; his fiancée, Becky Karnes, Warrensburg, Missouri; four brothers, Benona Friend, Jr., Burlson, Texas, Gary Miller, Garden City, Missouri, Ronnie Friend, Garden City, Missouri and Brian Miller, Nevada, Missouri; one sister, Lisa Miller, Springfield, Missouri; 9 grandchildren, Emery, Christopher, Hunter, McKyla, Maddalynn, Marylynn, Joshua, Ryder and Ashton; and his ex-wife and mother of his children, Deana Miller, Creighton, Missouri.
