Reta Marie Zent, 85, Harrisonville, MO, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services 1:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Visitation 6:00-7:30 PM Wednesday, October 1 at the chapel. Graveside services 11:00 AM Friday, October 3 at the St. Luke Cemetery in Marshfield, MO. Contributions may be made to the Harrisonville United Methodist Church.

Reta was born January 16, 1923 in Marshfield, MO, the daughter of Morgan ("Buck") and Hallie Mae (Martin) Young. She married Clio Nevin Zent on June 18, 1943 in Marshfield, MO. They moved to Harrisonville in 1960.

Reta was a member of member of the Harrisonville United Methodist Church for over 40 years and the Marshfield Eastern Star for over 50 years. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide at Cass Medical Center for 12 years in the OB department, retiring in 1988.

Reta was preceded in death by her husband, Nevin, on March 18, 1974. She is survived by two sons, Larry Eugene Zent and his wife, Joyce, Harrisonville, MO and Garry Paul Zent and his wife, Tammy, Hopeland, PA; one sister, Marjorie Evans, Richland, WA; one brother, Gene Paul Young, Spokane, WA; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
