Rebekah J. "Becky" Beeman, 84, Harrisonville, MO, passed peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation.

Becky was born July 27, 1933 in Avant, OK, the daughter of William Clarence and Glyde Ernestine (Tharp) Taylor. She was a 1951 graduate of Copan Oklahoma High School and attended The University of Oklahoma for one year. She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1953 to attend nursing school at Kansas City General Hospital-School of Nursing, graduating in 1957. Becky then worked for St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City before moving to Harrisonville in 1969.

Becky worked at Cass Medical Center for several years, as a charge nurse. She then worked for Dr. Jones, Dr. Wheeler and Dr. Henry, before returning to Cass Medical Center. Becky completed 26 years of service with Cass Medical Center, retiring in December 1995. Becky married Ivan O. Beeman on March 12, 1955 in Bentonville, AR. They were happily married for 54 years and raised 4 sons. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Harrisonville.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ivan on April 15, 2009, two brothers, William J. Taylor and Jack E. Taylor. She is survived by four sons, Ivan E. "Butch" Beeman and his wife, Delores, Harrisonville, MO, R. Keith Beeman and his wife, Lu Ann, Kansas City, MO, Gary D. Beeman and his wife, Carla, Lee's Summit, MO, and James D. Beeman and his wife, Lisa, La Tour, MO; 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan and wife, Amy, Taylor, Katie, Megan, John, and Tatum, and 2 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Easton Ivan.

Becky was a loving wife/mother/grandmother, a dedicated and caring nurse, and a true friend. She will be greatly missed.
