Rachel Green, 93, Odessa, MO, went home on Monday, March 7, 2011 in Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Odessa. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Greenton Cemetery in Odessa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenton Cemetery Association.

Rachel was born July 17, 1917 in Odessa, MO, the daughter of Robert A. and Stella (Reynolds) Wilcoxon. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1935 and attended Central Missouri State College. Rachel taught school for one year at Walnut Row in rural Odessa. She married Mack Green on February 3, 1946 in Odessa. Rachel was a stay-at-home mom, where she raised three children, Judith Ann, Robert Mack and Janet Elaine.

Rachel was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Odessa. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, a past member of Gilead Rupe Chapter of DAR and Bon Temps bridge club, all in Odessa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mack on February 24, 1986, one brother, R. A. Wilcoxon, two sisters, Dorothy Jane Ohls and Jo Ann Wilcoxon and a son-in-law, Terry Lockhart. She is survived by her children, Judy Underwood and her husband, Fred, Odessa, MO, Rob Green and his wife, Marcella, Leawood, KS and Janet Lockhart, Harrisonville, MO; seven grandchildren, Mark Henning and his wife, Mary, Lisa Silvey and her husband, Vince, Lesli Hamilton and her husband, Billy, Bryan Green and his wife, Marta, Jennifer Green, Elizabeth Pruitt and her husband, Jason and Ashley Crowe and her husband, Dan and five great-grandchildren, Isabella Pruitt, Addison Crowe, Seth Henning, Oliver and Eva Silvey.
