Phyllis Rose Rippeto, 72, Belton, Missouri, formerly of Lake Annette, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Beautiful Savior Home in Belton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri, with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Phyllis was born November 28, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Albert James and Mabel Evelyn (Jackson) Tripp. She lived in Northeast Kansas City until moving to Lake Annette in 1976. She married Donald F. Rippeto on May 26, 1973 in Kansas City. They moved to Lake Annette, Missouri in 1976. Phyllis had been a family church member at The Worship Center in Harrisonville for almost 35 years. She had worked as an in-home care giver from 1987-1998 and was also a volunteer for Hope Haven of Cass County.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sandy Rippeto, her husband, Donald on November 22, 1997, a brother, Jack Tripp, and a great-niece, Korri Anne Johnson. She is survived by one son, Tom Rippeto, Howenwald, Tennessee; one daughter, Donetta Pointer, Sibley, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Barbara Tripp, Freeman, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew; other relatives and friends.
