Peggy Humphries, 84, of Archie, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Pleasant Hill Health and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill, MO.  Funeral services were held  Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Burial in Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, MO.

Peggy was born May 20, 1938 in Tennessee, a daughter of Melvin and Orthie (Floyd) Quick. She spent her early years in Blytheville, Arkansas and had lived in Archie over 40 years. Peggy was united in marriage to Adrian "Ray" Humphries November 15, 1959 in Poteau, Oklahoma.

Peggy worked for the manufacturing department at Marion Merrell Dow in Kansas City before her retirement. She was a member of the Everett Community Church in Archie.  Peggy enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and plants and was an avid birdhouse collector.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray, on June 24, 2009; and a brother, Don.  She is survived by her son, Terry Humphries, and his wife Carla, Holden, MO; two grandchildren: Matt Humphries (Rebecca) and Amy Light (Charles); three great-grandchildren: Atticus Light, Nora Light, and Holland Humphries; two brothers: Marvin Quick, Dell, AR; and Danny Quick, Blytheville, AR; and many other relatives and friends.
