Peggy Owen Hodge, 74, Harrisonville, MO died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrsonville, MO. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Harrisonville with visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 567, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

Peggy was born August 5, 1934 in Harris, MO, the daughter of Harry and Irene (Ross) Owen. She was a 1951 graduate of Princeton High School. She married James Robert Hodge, Jr. on November 8, 1953 in Princeton, MO. They lived in Peculiar, MO for two years before moving to Harrisonville in 1961.

Peggy was the business manager at Harrisonville Medical Clinic for 30 years, before retiring in 1996, working for Dr. Wheeler, Dr. Price, Dr. Henry and Dr. Edward Jones. She was a member of the Harrisonville United Methodist Church, Caldeans, the Harrisonville Lions Club and several bridge clubs.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Rusty Hodge. She is survived by her husband, Robert, of the home; two sons, Jeff Hodge and his wife, Teresa, Lumberton, TX and Kurtis Hodge, Bentonville, AR; one daughter-in-law, Melinda Hodge, Blue Springs, MO; one brother, Dick Owen, Rocky Mount, MO; one sister, Norma McGowen, Columbia, MO and four grandchildren, Kathryn Hodge, Samuel Hodge, Alex Hodge and Anakin Hodge.
