Pearl "Nadine" Mattingley, 83, Archie, MO, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Atkinson Chapel in Archie. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO.
Nadine was born February 21, 1928 in Boone, Colorado, the daughter of William David and Thora (Corley) Knox. She lived in Archie over 60 years.
Nadine was united in marriage to James Everett Mattingley on July 13, 1947. Her love of children led her to run a daycare and foster care. She enjoyed quilting and was known for her donkey quilts.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, James, on April 19, 1995, her parents, three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by two sons, Jim D. Mattingley, Archie, MO and Jerry E. Mattingley, Garden, City, MO; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
