Pauline Alberta Elkins, 96, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, (americanheart.org).
Pauline was born January 6, 1920 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of William C. and Lucile L. (Barnard) Dughman. She was a 1937 graduate of Peculiar High School and had lived in Cass County, Missouri most of her life. She married Russell Franklin Elkins on May 29, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri. Pauline was a homemaker and had worked at P.N. Hirsch in Harrisonville for 15 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisonville.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell on February 27, 1994, two sisters, Dorothy Gaines and Catheryn Warren, and one nephew, Richard Gaines. She is survived by one daughter, Dinah C. Binder, Harrisonville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cindy Chancellor and husband, Kenny, and Rusty Binder and wife, Edie; six great-grandchildren, Nathan Garlock and wife, Leanna, Jeremy Chancellor, Austin Chancellor, Chase Binder, Adam Ammerman, and Joseph Ammerman; one great-great-grandson, Brian Garlock; two nieces, Janet Barnhouse and Karen Scheel, and one nephew, Junior Gillenwater.
