Paul Richard "Dick" Miller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the age of 89. A memorial service celebrating Paul's life was held on Wednesday,  February 26, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrisonville Emergency Services.

Paul was born on August 12, 1935, in Peculiar, MO, to Paul V. and Alva (Simmons) Miller. He graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1954, where he played basketball and football and was a proud member of the 1951 Mineral Water Bowl team. Paul joined the workforce early, contributing to the local community by working at the Harrisonville Brick Plant during his high school years. He later pursued a career at Bendix from 1955 to 1974 before discovering his true passion as a carpenter and painter in residential construction. Paul was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and his ability to turn dreams into reality for many families.

Those who knew Paul will remember him as a devoted family man. He married his high-school sweetheart, Anna Lee Bouse, on June 26, 1954, at Bro. George Monroe's house in Harrisonville, MO. Together, they created a beautiful family, raising daughters, Vicky and Valerie, and sons, Dennis, Randy, and Michael. Paul was a member of the Grand River Baptist Church and took great joy in his family, cherishing every moment spent with them.

He treasured the time spent at the family cabin at Lake of the Ozarks, where laughter and memories were made that will last for generations. An avid fisherman and passionate deer hunter, Paul never missed a deer season or a chance to go crappie fishing while at the lake. He found tremendous joy in the great outdoors and passed that joy to his family who have many memories hunting and fishing with him.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James Miller; and his sisters: Paula Jackson and Linda Long. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Anna Lee, of the home; his children: Vicky Miller of Archie, MO; Dennis (Judy) Miller of Cape Coral, FL; Randy (Teresa) Miller of Harrisonville, MO; Valerie Miller of Adrian, MO; and Michael (Connie) Miller of Harrisonville, MO; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; his brother, David Miller, of Butler, MO; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
