Paul W. Carlson, 87, Cleveland, MO, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS. Funeral services 10:00 AM Thursday, June 26, 2008 at West Line Christian Church, West Line, MO with visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM Thursday at the church. Burial in Glenwild Cemetery, Cleveland, MO.

Paul was born July 10, 1920 in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, the son of Fred and Selma (Mossberg) Carlson. He married Grace Clariece Sims on August 28, 1948 on the family farm in West Line, MO.

Paul was a member of the West Line Christian Church. He was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corp. Paul was involved in many community services. He coached and was actively involved in his children's sports teams. He was a former member of the West-Dolan Township Board.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Clariece, of the home; one son, Rex W. Carlson, Cleveland, MO; three daughters, Sherran Wooden, Kansas City, MO, Janet Koch, Overland Park, KS and Marilyn Carlson, Phoenix, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
