Patrick "Pat" G. Swoger, age 74, of Lowry City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Interment at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, MO.

Pat was born on March 6, 1952, in Peculiar to James and Elsie E. (Gregory) Swoger. Patrick will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially those who cherished the warm and vibrant spirit he brought into their lives.

Patrick was a man of many passions-he loved hunting, fishing, and the thrill of riding his motorcycle. He shared countless memorable moments with his family, often filled with laughter as he regaled them with wild tales of his adventures, from catching coyotes to popping wheelies. Those evenings spent watching Looney Tunes with his grandchildren will be forever cherished, as will the affectionate nicknames he lovingly gave his grandchildren. Behind his tough exterior lay a gentle heart, always ready to lend a hand or share a story, embodying the very essence of a devoted family man.

Patrick's straightforward nature and acceptance of others endeared him to many-not everyone might have understood him, but those who did knew the warmth and sincerity that lay beneath his candid words. He was a man who lived life on his own terms, loved fiercely, and left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will remain in our hearts, guiding and reminding us of the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.

Patrick is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James R. Swoger. He is survived by his devoted wife, Yolanda M. Swoger, of the home; three children: Shane (Sheryl) Swoger of Clinton, MO; Shanna Swoger of Harrisonville, MO; and Justin (Kaitlyn) Swoger of Lowry City, MO; six grandchildren: Ansen (Alyson) Swoger, Heidi (Terrel) Hardy, TJ Roberts, Alyssa Swoger, Adaline Swoger, and Dalton Swoger; six great-grandchildren: Raelynn Swoger, Olivia Swoger, Sadie Swoger, Zaydon Webster, Eliza Hardy, and Axel Hardy; and a host of cousins and people he adopted along the way.
