Patricia A.
Parrott
January 5, 1938 – December 31, 2024
Patricia Ann Parrott, 86, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Beautiful Savior Home in Belton, MO. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO, with interment at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene, designated for the Pat Parrott Mission Fund.
Born on January 5, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, Pat was the cherished daughter of Delos J. and Ruby Louise (Larson) Jeter. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched countless lives. Pat spent her early years in Kansas City before her family moved to Raymore, Missouri, in 1944, where she later graduated from Raymore High School. On June 4, 1961, Pat united in marriage to Robert Parrott at the Raymore Methodist Church, and together they created a loving home on their farm in Peculiar, where they raised their family. While Pat initially worked for Western Electric in Lee's Summit, her true passion was found in nurturing her growing family and contributing to the farm. Once her children were grown, she brought her vibrant spirit to the community by working at the Harrisonville and Raymore Wal-Mart Stores.
Pat was a remarkable woman who never shied away from service. She taught sewing and cooking for the local 4-H, volunteered at the Life Choice Center for Women, and supported the Senior Food Pantry. A dedicated member of the Harrisonville Church of The Nazarene, she tirelessly dedicated her time and resources to missionary work, often taking her family on work and witness trips to spread Christ's love.
Known for her incredible talent as a seamstress, Pat crafted countless beautiful garments for her family, including delicate pieces of lingerie for her daughters-in-law. Her culinary skills were equally legendary; her homemade cinnamon rolls and crazy cake brought joy to many, ensuring no one ever left her home hungry. Pat lovingly passed down her cooking traditions to her children and grandchildren, who will carry her legacy forward. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were the light of her life. Pat lived well and loved well. She will be dearly missed by all; her family, friends who became family, and many others whose lives were made better for having known her.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Parrott, Pleasant Hill, MO; four sons: Harold (Tineka) Parrott, Urich, MO; Rob Parrott, Peculiar, MO; Charlie (Dianna) Parrott, Garden City, MO; and K.R. (Missy) Parrott, Pleasant Hill, MO; eight grandchildren: Stachia (Ethan), Dustin, Jordan, Tylyne (Ryan), Lynnlee, Grace (Alex), Chayton (Makayla), and Tori (Izak); three great-grandchildren and counting; and many other relatives and friends.
