Obituary

Patricia Ruth Norman, 86, Perry, KS, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with Rosary at 7:00. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Patricia was born April 1, 1925 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Alonzo "Guy" and Francis (Walters) Rouse. She was a lifelong Catholic, attended St. Agnes Academy in Kansas City. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville.

Patricia worked for the selective service and retired as a budget analyst from the Real Estate Division of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in Kansas City, MO in 1987. She worked for the federal government for nearly 20 years.

She enjoyed oil and china painting, winning numerous awards for her talent. She loved to travel the world. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, some lifelong, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dorothy Sue Whalen and her son, Daniel Lee Ketchum. She is survived by one son, David Ketchum and wife, Charlotte, Perry Lake, KS; one daughter, Pamela Ketchum Brown, Colorado Springs, CO; daughter-in-law, Connie Ketchum Bush and husband, Dave, Freeman, MO; one sister, Mary Francis Emery and husband, Clarence, Grain Valley, MO; several beloved cousins, as well as many grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Steven Ketchum and wife, Addie, Lana Harriman and her husband, Major Charles Harriman, Lisa Foster and husband, Bobby, Amanda Rose Ketchum and Gregory Alonzo Brown and great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Kody, Regan, Holly, Zachary, Nicholas and Valarie.
