Patricia Joyce Boone, 88, of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Belton, MO. Memorial services celebrating Patricia's life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM at The Salvation Army Southland Corps, 6111 E 129th St, Grandview, MO 64030.

Born on February 27, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, to Arlee (Pat) and Florene (Wigington) Holiman, she married Donald Lee Boone in January 1958. Together, they had four children; later in life, they divorced but eventually became best friends until his sudden passing in October 2009.

Patricia began her career at AT&T at the age of 18 before moving on to St. Joseph Hospital and Midwest Research Institute as a switchboard operator at each employer. Ultimately, she found her calling as a receptionist for the Salvation Army Southland, where she utilized her nurturing spirit to help others in her community. Her compassion and selflessness left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Patricia found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the thrill of discovering treasures at thrift stores, where she would often share delightful trips with family. Her kitty cats over the years brought her much joy. 

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ricky Boone; her grandson, Kevin Cable; her son-in-law, Chris Cable; and her siblings: Lucille Long, Juanita Holiman, Thurston Holiman, Frances Mercer, and Autry Holiman. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cable; her sons: Dwayne Boone and Christopher Boone; her grandchildren: Brian Cable, Danny Cable, David Cable, Travis Boone, Leann Lewis, Christina Cable, Sarah Boone, Ashley Boone, Lela Boone, Kennedy Boone, and Penelope Boone; 6 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jimmie Holiman.

Our deepest gratitude goes to her granddaughter, Christina Cable, who gave up her employment/life to take care of her grandma 24/7 for almost three years; she never left her side.
