Obituary

Norman L. Wimsatt, 67, Archie, MO, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Adrian Manor, Adrian, MO. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 13 at the Archie United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Travis James. Burial was in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Casketbearers were the grandchildren. Military honors were held under the auspices of the Harrisonville Honor Guard. Arrangements were under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Archie, MO.

Norman was born August 18, 1939 in Garden City, MO, the son of Johnny L. and Bernice Marie (Fortner) Wimsatt. Norman lived in the Archie area most of his life. He was a graduate of Archie High School.

Norman was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked for General Motors for 26 years before retiring. He was a member of the UAW. Norman enjoyed motorcycling, fishing and hunting and playing dominos and pool.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Troy Fase. He is survived by two sons, Loren Wimsatt, Adrian, MO and Lonnie Wimsatt and his wife, Jennifer, Archie, MO; two daughters, Lorie Wimsatt-McGee, Pleasant Hill, MO and Renee Wimsatt, Archie, MO; one brother, Carl "Turk" Wimsatt, Archie, MO; one sister, Shirlene Lotspeich and her husband, Bob, Archie, MO and 13 grandchildren, Damon Wimsatt, Dylan Wimsatt, Gavin Wimsatt, Jeordan Fase, Zachary Watson, Peyton Anderson, Remington Anderson, Page Wimsatt, Caitlyn Wimsatt, Cassie Chamberlain, Joshua Wimsatt, Justin McGee and Jasen McGee.
