Norman Ray Goddard, 88, formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Memorial services were held Friday, December 20, 2019, at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.  Inurnment was held at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Norman was born December 8, 1931, in Butler, Missouri, the son of Ernest E. Goddard and Etta M. (Blake) Goddard.  He married Patricia Rinker on May 30, 1957, in Harrisonville, Missouri and she preceded him in death on November 19, 2018.  To this union, two daughters were born, Rhonda and Teresa.

Norman served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  After his service, he spent his entire career as a carpenter. He enjoyed wood working and tinkering on projects in the garage.

Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; his parents; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.  He is survived by his daughters:  Rhonda (Ken) Schulz of West Fork, AR and Teresa (Gaulle) Sanchez of Belton, MO; his sister, Opal Hawkins of Harrisonville, MO; grandsons:  Erick Petersen of Kansas City, MO and Derick Petersen of Clinton, MO; granddaughter Megan Sanchez of Belton, MO; 2 great-grandchildren:  Mason and Olivia and one more on the way; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
