IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Normajean
Miller
November 20, 1950 – April 13, 2018
Normajean Miller, 67, Garden City, MO, died at her home Friday, April 13, 2018. A Celebration of Life brunch was held April 21, 2018 at the Garden City Community Center in Garden City, MO.
Normajean was born November 20, 1950 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of James and Charlotte (Lee) Fletcher. She was a 1968 graduate of Grandview High School and received an associate's degree in criminal justice in 2008. She had lived in Freeman, MO before moving to Garden City in 1996. She had worked for Casco for several years. Normajean had received her 17-year sobriety medal.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gary. Normajean is survived by four daughters, Lisa Allin (Kevin), Drexel, MO, Jennifer Atkin (Mike), Garden City, MO, Mischele Irvin (David), Holden, MO, and Tiffiany Hinton (Brant), Harrisonville, MO; one sister, Patty Watson (Dave), Belton, MO; two brothers, Jimmy Dale Fletcher and Timmy Dean Fletcher, both of Grandview, MO; 6 very handsome grandsons, 2 beautiful granddaughters; 3 great-granddaughters and 4 great-grandsons; and her life-long best friend, Carole Craig, Harrisonville, MO.
Normajean did not want people to be focused on her death but the fact that she lived. As such, she chose not to have traditional funeral services. She wished for us all to honor her by gathering together in a casual atmosphere to eat, drink and share fond memories. So, in lieu of flowers or other memorial contributions, please bring a brunch-style side dish and join us at her Celebration of Life.
