Norma Ellen Dodson, 79, Drexel, Missouri, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 11:00-12:00. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery in Drexel.

Norma was born October 5, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of William James and Helen Merle (Jarvis) Stump. She was a 1953 graduate of Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She worked as a waitress at Wolfburgers in Kansas City for many years. She later moved to Cass County, Missouri and worked at the Halfway Restaurant in Harrisonville and Wimfield's On Main in Adrian.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and one son, David W. Dodson. She is survived by her companion of 24 years, Marvin Hocker, of the home; two daughters, Cynthia L. Whitson, Kansas City, Kansas and Pamela L. Dodson, Bonner Springs, Kansas; one son, Gary A. Dodson, Olathe, Kansas; one brother, William "Bill" Stump, Lowry City, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
