Nicki Jo Cantrell, 70, Adrian, MO died Friday, October 7, 2016 at Adrian Manor, Adrian, MO. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October11, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.

Nicki was born January 30, 1946 in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of Charles Ray and Patricia A. (Wiley) Cooper. Nicki attended kindergarten through third grade at the Milton Moore Elementary School in Kansas City. The Cooper family moved to the farm between Archie, MO and Drexel, MO in 1956. She attended grades four through eight at Rocky Point Rural School #82, and graduated from Archie High School in 1964.

Nicki was united in marriage to Russell W. Cantrell on October 16, 1964 in Adrian, MO. After marriage, they made their home in Archie. Nicki worked briefly for Sears & Roebuck in Kansas City, and then worked for the W. R. Cantrell & Sons Sale Co. in Archie. She was a member of Church on the Rock in Harrisonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Russell, May 5, 2001. She is survived by a son, Tim Cantrell, Raymore, MO; daughter-in-law, Joyce Cantrell, Raymore, MO; two brothers, Peter C. Cooper and wife, Marsha, Lee's Summit, MO, and Mike Cooper and wife, Ruth, Raymore; 4 grandchildren, Josiah, Caleb, Naomi, and Anna.
