Nellie Lee Shelton, 88, Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville. Funeral services 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday at the chapel.

Nellie was born December 12, 1918 in Everett, MO, the daughter of James C. and Gracie (Brewer) Herrell. She married Lonnie Perry Shelton on April 9, 1937. Nellie worked for the Adrian Manor Nursing Home for many years before retiring.

Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie and her son, Lonnie L. Shelton, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by one sister, Bessie M. Shelton, Harrisonville, MO; one daughter, Virginia Shaw, Peoria, AZ; six grandchildren, Jimmie Verhague, Brea, California, Sandra Bricker, Valencia, California, Cheryl Hayes, Phoenix, Arizona, Lonnie Shelton, Chandler, Arizona, Billy Joe Shelton, Oklahoma and Dawn Leann Shelton; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
