Nellie Louise Archer, 101, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Raymore, Raymore, Missouri with burial in Raymore Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Nellie was born April 26, 1911 in Alton, Missouri, the daughter of Ode and Eva Lee (Clay) Staires. She was married to Thomas J. Archer, Sr. on May 18, 1927. She was a homemaker. Nellie was a charter memeber of the First Baptist Church of Raymore.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom in 1976, three sons, Thomas Jr. in 1965, Jimmy in 2005, Harlin in 2008 and one daughter, Merle Paxton in 2011, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by three daughters, Jane Archer and Anna Lou Archer of Harrisonville and Mary Turner of Raymore; son-in-law, Jim Paxton of Raymore; daughter-in-law, Marie Archer of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren, Tammy Turner of Raymore, Tommy Paxton of Butler, Tom Archer of Illinois, Bob Archer of Arkansas, Buddy Archer of South Dakota, Tim Archer of St. Joseph and Cathy Dennis of Tennessee, and one sister, Helen Dethrow of Texas.
