Nat Joseph Scribner, 87, of Adrian, MO passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Golden Years in Harrisonville, MO. Graveside services were April 15, 2023  at  Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO.

Nat was born on March 16, 1935 in Saffordville, KS, to Charles and Myrtle Pearl (Joseph) Scribner. Nat graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. After high school, he enlisted with the US Army. Nat spent his career working for the railroad, which allowed him to live in many different states and areas, until his retirement in 1986.

After retiring, Nat enjoyed spending his time traveling still, often in his motorhome, but he also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He was always taking his nieces and nephews out for boat rides or giving them a quarter to go down to the candy store. Nat was fortunate to live with his sister, Burt, until her passing in 2016, and then spent his remaining years with his nephew, Scott.

Nat is preceded in death his parents and his four siblings: Laura Petrie, Charlene Hickock, John Scribner, and Myrtle "Burt" Morrison. He is survived by his brother, Alonzo "Ed" Edward Scribner; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
