Nannie Rose Wiskur, 87 years old, departed this life Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at her family farm in Harrisonville, MO. Services were held Friday, March 9th, 2018 at Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, MO with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO.
Nannie was born on May 20th, 1930 in LaMonte, MO. She was one of nine children born to Daniel Joseph Harrison and Nannie Bessie (Shernaman) Harrison. Nannie was united in marriage to Murl "Dale" Wiskur from Leeton, MO on November 3, 1951. They shared 65 harvests together as husband and wife.
Nannie's life revolved around her family, friends, and home. After their marriage, she and Dale farmed for a number of years in Kansas before purchasing their family farm in 1963, where they raised five children together. Nannie loved being outdoors tending to her flowers, gardening, and raising chickens. She enjoyed canning, Sunday dinners, and family reunions. Her greatest joy in life was nurturing family and friends.
Nannie was preceded in death by her husband Dale, her parents and two sisters. She is survived by six siblings, Louise Harpstrite, Francis "Skinny" Harrison, Barbara "Bean" Hughes, Leroy "Robin" Harrison, David Harrison, and Martha Jo Harbaugh, her five children, William (Pam) Wiskur, Harrisonville, MO, Raymond (Nardene) Wiskur, Butler, MO, Donna (Gene) Peterson, Drexel, MO, Faye (Gene) McVay, Archie, MO, Russell (Denise) Wiskur, Adrian, MO, 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Memorial donations can be made in her name to the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO.
