Nancy Jo (Hibdon) Jewell, 74, Kansas City, MO, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 at her home. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Martin Community Center in Marshall, MO.

Nancy was born March 23, 1943 in Gravois Mills, MO, the daughter of Loyd M. and Elsie E. (Cantwell) Hibdon. She married David Jewell on July 28, 1964 in Kansas City. Nancy worked for J.B. Nutter for 10 years, retiring in 2006. She had also worked for ½ Price Store, The Burger Delight, Venture Stores, and Allen's Drive Inn. She also did volunteer work in her community. Nancy had a love for animals, and they were known as her "babies". She was also a homemaker, as well as raising her two sons.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeffery Houchen. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Jewell, of the home; one son, Scott David Jewell and wife, Susan, St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Roger Hibdon, Jefferson City, MO and Steve Hibdon, Stover, MO; two sisters, Patricia "Trisha" Lynne-Hibdon Boy and husband, Jimmy, Riverside, CA, and Mary Hibdon Callon, Lexington, OK; 3 grandchildren, Madolyn, Lydia, and Alex; nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
