Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Adrian Christian Church in Adrian, Missouri with visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the church. Nancy was born September 24, 1939 in Beaver County, Oklahoma to Arthur Finace and Bertha Nixola (Lloyd) Reynolds. Her family moved to Butler, Missouri when she was a young child. She attended Butler grade school and graduated from Butler High School in 1957. She married Hershall Lowell Hunholz on June 7, 1957. To this union four children were born. Nancy was a farm wife, mother, and homemaker until she began a nursing career at Nevada Vo-Tech in September, 1973, graduating with an LPN license in September, 1974. After working as an LPN for many years, she went on to earn her RN license, graduating from Sedalia State Fair College in 1985.

Over the course of her career, Nancy worked at both Bates and Cass County Hospitals, many nursing homes in the region and was the Cass County Health Nurse. She held the position of Director of Nursing at Bates County Memorial Hospital and was instrumental in setting up the Skilled Medicare Unit. She retired from Medical Lodge, Butler, Missouri, but continued to teach CNA and Insulin classes, and was the RN sponsor as the Rich Hill School Nurse.

Nancy was caring, nurturing, strong, and supportive. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. Her home was always open to her family and friends, regardless of her work schedule. Weekends were spent keeping grandchildren. Most Sundays were family dinner day, followed by a pitch card game. She was very competitive and hated to lose, even to her grandchildren.

She loved traveling; always with her children and grandchildren. Most summers were spent going to Lloyd or Hunholz family reunions. She found joy in trips to the ocean, visiting botanical gardens, zoos, and nature walks. She also loved gardening and preserving food from the garden. She had a green thumb and had beautiful roses, flowers and house plants. She nurtured and raised many baby farm animals, and a wild raccoon or two. She loved her chickens and peacocks. When her children were young, she often sewed clothing, and decorated her home with collections of angels, pottery, and antique furniture.

Nancy was the best wife, mother, and grandmother one could have. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Art Jr., and Charlie, and an infant great grandchild, Levi Stewart. She is survived by her husband, Lowell; children, Nancy Stewart and husband, Chris, and Marty Hunholz and wife, Alice, all of Adrian, Missouri, Cindy Wessel and husband, Peter, Avon, North Carolina, Mary Beth Stephens and husband, Danny, Harrisonville, Missouri; a brother, Don Lloyd Reynolds, Rich Hill, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
