Nancy Jo Helzer, 53, Belton, Missouri, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Beautiful Savior in Belton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 10 at the Pleasant Ridge Bull Cemetery in Holts Summit, Missouri.

Nancy was born October 27, 1962 in Henderson, Nebraska, the daughter of Robert Dale and Marion Virginia (Yost) Helzer. She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and had lived in Jefferson City until 1986 when she moved to Peculiar, Missouri. Nancy moved to Belton in 2006. She worked at House of Lloyd for 10 years. Nancy was an avid reader.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by five brothers, Tim Helzer and wife, Karen, Peculiar, Tom Helzer and wife, Karen, San Rafael, California, Clifford Helzer and wife, Jeannie, and Carter Helzer and wife, Shelia, all of Holts Summit, Missouri, and Jeff Helzer and wife, Michelle, Raymore, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Becca Helzer, Holly O'Neal, Nick Helzer, Jennifer Heard, Jamie Heard, Bo Helzer, Katie Helzer, Matt Monteer, Mark Monteer, and Sheri Oakes.
