Nancy Ellen Ganey, 71, Archie, MO, died Monday, February 28, 2011 at Saint Luke's East, Lee's Summit, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 at the Atkinson Chapel in Archie, MO with visitation from 1:00-2:00. Burial will be in Austin Cemetery, Archie.

Nancy was born February 16, 1940 in La Due, MO, the daughter of Cecil Benard and Gretta Gordon (Rowell) Grigsby. She was a 1959 graduate of Osceola High School.
She married Edward Earl Ganey on August 2, 1958 in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Nancy had worked for Motorola for 15 years and Family Services for over nine years before retiring on May 1, 2002. She had lived in Arizona for 25 years before moving to Archie. She was a member of the Everett Community Church.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward, on March 16, 2002, a daughter, Regina in 1966 and a son, Daryl, in 1981. She is survived by two sons, Edward W. Ganey, Belton, MO and Dennis Ganey and his wife, Crystal, Archie, MO; one brother, James Arthur Grigsby, Osceola, MO; three sisters, Mary Blackwell, Nevada, MO, Carol Ganey, Belton, MO and Gretta Colopy, Nevada, MO; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
