Obituary
Nancy Louise Anderson, 69, Archie, Missouri, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
Nancy was born June 11, 1943 in Archie, the daughter of George Edward and Nina J. (Goddard) Holt. She was a 1961 graduate of Archie High School. Nancy married Edward "Eddie" Max Anderson on August 6, 1961 at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Brother Joe Brewster. She was a lifelong Cass County, Missouri resident.
Nancy worked for Wal-Mart for 20 years before retiring as a supervisor in the clothing department. She loved her family and grandchildren, especially the babies, playing out of the toy basket and running through the house. She loved looking out her window, watching the birds and her new flower garden. She loved birthday parties and holidays with all the family.
Nancy never hesitated to help anyone, right down to her last day. One of her favorite past times was dancing Friday nights at the Archie House. She loved a good two-step. We all loved talking to her and listening to her stories. We admired her for her strength, courage and her unconditional love. She will be dearly missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Eddie Max. She is survived by one son, Christopher E. Anderson (Paula), Archie, MO; one daughter, Brenda Sue Thompson, Archie, MO; her mother, Nina Holt, Harrisonville, MO; two brothers, Jim Holt (Ginger), Harrisonville, MO and Richard "Rick" Holt (Betty), Warsaw, MO; three sisters, Barbara Spinning, (David), Garden City, MO, Georgia Gilmore, Clinton, MO and Donna Rhodes, Clinton, MO; 8 grandchildren, Curtis Neil Thompson, Brian Christopher Anderson, Savanna Marie Thompson, Kendra Dawn Cooper, Amber Dawn Anderson, Jessy Lee Edward Anderson, Chance Taylor Thompson and Tiffany Marie Louis Anderson and 9 great-grandchildren.
