Myrtle Beatrice Jackson, 99, Kansas City, MO, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at her home. Funeral services were held Monday, January 8, 2018 at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Kansas City, MO with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, MO.
Myrtle was born November 8, 1918 in Harrisonville, MO, the daughter of Lafayette and Maryetta (Brown) Page. She was a lifelong Harrisonville resident and had attended Prince Whipple School in Harrisonville. She was united in marriage to Crealaun "Dean" Jackson on January 30, 1935 in Harrisonville by Rev. E. McKamey. Myrtle was a housekeeper for several families in Harrisonville before her retirement. She moved to Kansas City to live with her daughter, Patricia, in 2006.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dean on January 11, 1977, daughter, Sharon K. Brock, three sisters, Christina Wilkinson, Genive Page, Odie May Brown, her grandmother who raised her, Martha (Brown) Lacy, an uncle, Robert Brown, and aunts, Lizzy Brown and Gennie Young. She is survived by three sons, Cornelius Dean Jackson, Curtyse Jackson, and John Thomas Lane Jackson, Kansas City, MO; three daughters, Martha Gayles, Sacramento, CA, Rosetta Harvey Willis and Patricia Jackson, both of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Martha Bryant, Kansas City, MO; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
