Myra Mavis Heagy, 79, Raymore, MO, died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  Funeral services were held  Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.   Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Myra was born September 9, 1939 in Lamoni, IA, a daughter of Harold and Melba (Perry) Foland.  She received her nursing degree from Penn Valley and had worked as an RN at Research Medical Center and other care facilities from 1977 until her retirement in 2004.  Myra had lived in Lee's Summit, MO and Harrisonville before moving to Raymore.  She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Harrisonville.

Myra was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by three sons, James Stephen "Steve" Heagy, Raytown, MO, Christopher "Chris" Heagy, Pleasant Hill, MO, and Matthew "Matt" Michael Heagy, Kansas City, MO; three daughters, Christina "Tina" Lynn Heagy-McConnell, Raytown, MO, Tamara "Tammy" Anne Kelley, Oak Grove, MO, and Dorothy Elizabeth Stroup, Peculiar, MO; one brother, Michael Foland, Lee's  Summit, MO; two sisters, Betsy Edstead and Melissa "Missy" Foland; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
