Minnie Katherine Cobb, 90, Archie, MO, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Kansas City in Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel in Archie, MO with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Archie, MO.

Minnie was born June 7, 1918 in Drexel, MO, the daughter of John H. and Magnola (Carmichael) Williams. She attended Maple Grove and Prairie View rural schools and graduated from Drexel High School. Minnie joined the Drexel Methodist Church at a young age and later transferred to the Archie United Methodist Church.

Minnie worked for Walters and Son's Grocery Store in the early 1940's and Lake City Ammunition Plant during WWII. In 1947 she married Basil E. Cobb of Archie.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Basil Cobb on January 29, 1993, one sister, Eula Easterla, three brothers, Ben, Frank and Lester Williams and her son-in-law, Ed Manherz. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Manherz, Kansas City, KS and one son, John Cobb and his wife, Debbie, Harrisonville, MO; six grandchildren, William Cobb and his wife, Becky, Andrew Cobb and his fiancée, April, Kimberly Lincoln and her husband, Todd, Joy Peterson and her husband, Bryon, Chuck Manherz and Kay Manherz; seven great-grandchildren, Jaden and Chase Manherz, Kasha and Ethan Lincoln, Tyler and Evan Cobb and Bridget Peterson and one sister-in-law, Betty Williams, Independence, MO.
